The Go Web Surveys panel (the “Panel”) is operated by Innovior Market Research LLC (“Global Survey”). All references in this this Privacy Policy to “Go Web Surveys” are also references to Global Survey.

This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices in connection with your use of https://www.gowebsurveys.com/ or any other website or application where this Privacy Policy is posted, including without limitation the Go Web Survey mobile application (collectively, including the application, the “Site”).

It also describes our privacy practices in connection with your membership in the Panel and/or your participation in any survey or research study conducted or facilitated by Global Survey, whether in your capacity as a Panel member or otherwise (collectively, including the Site and the Panel, the “Services”).

By visiting the Site, joining the Panel, or otherwise participating in research administered by us or our partners, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy forms a part of and is incorporated into the Go Web Surveys Terms of Use. By using the Site or participating in the Services, you agree to the Terms of Use, including this Privacy Policy.

2. Your Privacy Choices

We strive to comply with applicable privacy laws, including without limitation the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR” and “UK-GDPR”), the Colorado Privacy Act (“CPA”), The Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (“VCDPA”), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (“CTDPA”), and the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (“UCPA”).

As used in this Privacy Policy, the terms “personal information” and “personal data” mean information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household.

In connection with your communication with us, use of our Services, membership in the Panel, or other participation in research, we may collect personal information from you.

Please note that some of the personal information we collect, such as information about your race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity, may constitute sensitive personal information under applicable laws. To access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to request a copy of your personal information or opt out of the processing of your personal information, please contact us as provided in the “Privacy Support” section below.

Depending on your location, you may also have the right to appeal any decision we make regarding your personal information by contacting us as provided below.

Individuals in California, Europe, and the UK have certain special rights as further described in the applicable sections below.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 In Connection with Panel Membership

In connection with your registration with the Panel, we will collect personal information, including without limitation your first and last name, email address, gender, date of birth, address, zip code and other location information as described below.

As a member of the Panel, you may also provide us with additional information which helps us target you with appropriate survey opportunities, including without limitation your purchasing history and preferences, voting history and political opinions, past diagnoses, other medical information, and demographic information such as your age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, parental status, marital status, education, and professional credentials.

All such personal information is provided by you to us voluntarily. In all the above instances you will know what personal information you provide because you will provide it to us directly.

3.2 In Connection with Surveys

In addition to information collected in connection with your registration and screening surveys available in connection with your account profile, we or our clients or partners may collect additional personal information in connection with individual surveys which are routed to you.

Such information may include categories similar to those listed above, as well as audio-visual data if you agree to take surveys via teleconference or web conference.

As with registration information, you will know what personal information you provide in connection with a survey because you provide it directly.

Your participation in any survey is voluntary. You can withdraw at any time. By providing your personal information, you consent to its use as described in this Privacy Policy.

3.3 Location Information

During the sign-up process, we may collect location information to determine your geographical location. This information is collected using MaxMind's geo-location technology and is used solely for verification and fraud prevention purposes.

We understand that users may be traveling and accessing our services from different locations. Our geo-location technology is designed to provide accurate information based on your current location at the time of registration. If you are traveling and using a different location than your home country, our technology may detect that location. However, we do not manually select the location; it is automatically determined by our system based on available data. We do not collect personal travel details or track users beyond their initial registration.

3.4 Automatic Data Collection

Go Web Surveys may automatically collect information from your computer, mobile phone, or other access device. The information includes, but is not limited to, data on the pages you access, your computer IP address, referral data, device identifiers, the type of operating system you’re using, your location (GPS), mobile network information, standard web log data, and other information. Web log data includes the browser type you’re using and traffic to and from our Site to determine trends, administer the Site, track user movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Automated decision-making is used to determine the likelihood of fraudulent activity to include duplication of respondent(s) and proxy usage. Automatically collected data may be sent to third party data processors for the purpose of fraud prevention.

4. Your Communications

Go Web Surveys websites may allow communication with other visitors and post information that can be accessed by other visitors. Any such communications are voluntary. All information communicated is the responsibility and discretion of the individual who is posting. By making information available through such channels, you acknowledge and agree that it may be viewed and stored by other users.

5. Data Uses and Sharing

We may use the personal data supplied or provided by you to send you emails notifications containing invitations for participation in promotions, including, but not limited to, offers and market research survey opportunities offered by our clients and/or partners. Your participation in these opportunities is completely voluntary and you can opt-out at any time of promotional emails by clicking the opt-out or unsubscribe link in the applicable email or, if you’re a member of the Panel, by changing the settings in your account profile.

Please note that opting out from promotional emails does not exempt you from receiving administrative emails about your account status and membership status changes, or Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions updates.

Additionally, we may share demographic information and other personal data we collect from you with third-party market research companies for the purpose of

  • Facilitating your participation in a survey; and

  • Disclosing such data elements to clients of the third-party market research companies for audience measurement services; and

  • Appending such data elements to completed client surveys and delivering the appended survey data to clients of the third-party market research companies for analytical or research purposes; and

  • Other uses as set forth in this Privacy Policy or in such third-party market research company’s privacy policy, where such privacy policy has been presented to you.

We may also share personal data with partners and third-party service providers for other purposes, including, without limitation, fraud detection and prevention, data validation, incentive or reward fulfilment (if applicable), identifying respondents for re-contact surveys, communications with you, database matching, data append, coding, data segmentation, and/or developing data insights regarding survey participants. We will not use your personal data for marketing purposes.

If you are eligible for a client survey opportunity offered through a client, the client will not contact you directly but will provide your unique identification number and a survey link to us and we will allow you to participate in the specific client survey.

We reserve the right to share your identity with others within the stipulations of data protection in an attempt to prevent further fraudulent activity. We may also obtain information about you from third parties such as identity verification services.

Go Web Surveys may share non-personally identifiable information collected via the Services in aggregate, anonymous form with advertisers or other third parties so that they may better evaluate what products and services are most appealing to different segments of the user base. Go Web Surveys does not disclose your first name/last name, address, email address or any other Personal Information to these third parties unless you give your express consent.

We also reserve the right to share your personal information (1) with legal, governmental, or judicial authorities as required; (2) when we believe in good faith disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others; and (3) with third parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of Global Survey’s assets or ownership interests.

6. Cookies

Go Web Surveys uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our Site. Our cookie policy explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them. Read our cookie policy.

7. Children's Privacy

Go Web Surveys does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 16 in the EU and 13 outside of the EU. Minors 16 to 18 in the EU and 13 to 18 outside the EU are permitted to access the services of the Site only with parental permission. It is the responsibility of the individual and the parent to ensure such permissions are obtained. All Panel members must be 18 years of age or older. As a Panel member, by allowing your child to participate in a survey, you consent to the collection of personal information from such child and its use and sharing as described in this Privacy Policy. It is possible that by fraud or deception we may receive information given to us or pertaining to children under 16 in the EU and 13 outside the EU. If we are notified of this and as soon as we verify the information, we will immediately delete the information from our servers.

8. Third-Party Websites

The Site and emails from us may contain links to various other sites that are not owned by us. The privacy practices of other websites/applications and companies are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites/applications. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website/application that collects personally identifiable information.

9. Confidentiality and Security

Go Web Surveys has implemented security policies, rules and reasonable technical measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss.

Go Web Surveys employees and data processors with access or association to the processing of personal data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of visitor personal data.

Go Web Surveys does not disclose personal data to State institutions and authorities unless required by law.

Notwithstanding the above, no transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information. Likewise, we have no control over the security of other sites you might visit, interact with, or do business with.

10. Information Retention

In general, we keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide you the services you requested or as further described in this Privacy Policy. However, we reserve the right to retain personal information for any period required by law or to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

11. Information for Individuals in Europe and the UK

11.1 If you are an individual in Europe or the UK you have certain additional rights under applicable law.

11.2 You have the right to confirmation as to whether or not we process your personal data and, where we do, to access the personal data, together with certain additional information. That additional information includes details of the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data concerned and the recipients of the personal data. You can access your personal data by accessing your Panel account or by contacting us as provided herein. 

11.3 You have the right to have any inaccurate personal data about you rectified and, taking into account the purposes of the processing, to have any incomplete personal data about you completed.

11.4 In some circumstances you have the right to the erasure of your personal data without undue delay. However, there are exclusions of the right to erasure. The general exclusions include where processing is necessary (a) for compliance with a legal obligation, (b) for the purpose of fraud prevention, or (c) for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

11.5 In some circumstances you also have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.

11.6 You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. If you make such an objection, we will cease to process the personal information unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or we have some other exception under applicable law.

11.7 Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to receive your personal data from us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

11.8 If you consider that our processing of your personal information infringes data protection laws, you have a legal right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction responsible for data protection.

11.9 To the extent that the legal basis for our processing of your personal information is consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

11.10 You may exercise any of your rights in relation to your personal data by contacting us as provided in the “Privacy Support” section below.

12. Closing Your Account

You can close your account through the Site. If you close your account, we will mark your account in our database as "Closed," but will keep your account information in our database. This is necessary to deter fraud or abuse of the Site, by ensuring that persons who try to commit fraud or abuse of the Site will not be able to avoid detection simply by closing their account and opening a new account. However, if you close your account, your personal information will not be used by us for any further purposes, nor sold to or shared with third parties, except as necessary to prevent fraud and assist law enforcement or as required by law.

13. Do Not Track

Your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “do not track” signal to online services you visit. Note, however, we currently not alter our practices when we receives a “do not track” signal from a visitor’s browser.

14. International Data Transfers

We operate internationally and may transfer information about you to any jurisdiction where we do business, including the United States. When you use our websites, you acknowledge that we may transfer information about you as described in this Privacy Policy.

We will transfer your personal information for any of the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy to any of our subsidiaries, affiliates, service providers, and business partners that may be located outside of the jurisdiction where you are located. The laws in those jurisdictions may not provide the same level of data protection compared to the laws in your country. However, we will treat your personal information as subject to the protections described in this Privacy Policy.

When we transfer personal information subject to the General Data Protection Regulation to entities located outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA"), we will rely on an appropriate legal basis as permitted by applicable law.

Your Right to “Know,” to Request Deletion, and to Correct

You have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. You have the right to know the categories of sources from which the personal information has been collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling or sharing personal information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information.

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we’ve collected or maintain, subject to certain exceptions.

You also have the right to correct any inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.

Please note that any requested disclosures may only apply to the 12-month period preceding the request, depending on how difficult it is for us to retrieve the information, and you are entitled to request disclosure regarding your personal information twice in any 12-month period.

Your Right to Opt Out of the “Sale” of Your Information

CCPA defines the term “sell” broadly. Its meaning includes “renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, [and] transferring…for monetary or other valuable consideration.”

Under this definition, and the CCPA’s broad definition of “personal information,” we may “sell personal information” about you to our vendors or other partners, such as your contact information or certain combinations of anonymized or pseudonymized demographic and other information.

You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.

System Metrics inclusive of survey status (completed survey, terminated etc.) Length of time spent in a survey.

Your Right to Non-Discrimination

You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by GoWebSurveys for the exercise of the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA, including but not limited to by denying you services, charging different prices or rates, or providing you with a different level or quality of services. Please understand, however, that certain exercises of your rights may render it impossible for us to render services to you.

Your Right to Use an Authorized Agent

You have the right to designate an authorized agent to make a request under the CCPA on your behalf. To designate an authorized agent, please contact us as provided below. In order to verify you have authorized an agent we will require a signed, written authorization from you.

Verification Process

If you make a request to access or delete your information, or to opt out of the sale of your personal information, we may ask you for additional information to verify your identity. This information may include: your full name, birth date, phone number, email address, or other basic personal information about you that we already have on file.

Notice of Financial Incentive

We may offer opportunities for you to earn money and rewards by answering surveys or any other forms of research. Participation in these offerings may require you to provide personal information.
